We are a reconstructive surgery practice with 33 years of dedication to the tristate region, focusing on the the surgical treatment of skin cancers, especially large lesions and those in delicate areas like the eyelids, nose, ears and lips; the management of complex and chronic wounds, lymphedema and diabetic feet and the treatment of various nerve compression syndromes like carpal, cubital and tarsal tunnel syndromes.

Hope is a faith-based practice with practitioners who believe in a holistic approach to client treatment. Hope offers Professional and Pastoral Counseling, Clinical Supervision, and Professional Training, as well as wellness services including Individualized Yoga Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Holistic Health Nursing Education and Assessments. Psychotherapy services are available for both English and Spanish speaking clients. Hope strives to improve mental health while paying attention to the physical and spiritual care the human body requires.

ISSP offers a large range of services to serve everyone in the Hagerstown, MD area. Dr. Cheryl Mejia, M.Sci., is Board Certified in interventional pain management and in physical medicine and rehab. Dr. Mejia is also specialize in osteopathic manual medicine. As a specialized personal trainer and group exercise instructor, Dr. Mejia has been certified by the majority of national certifying bodies, including the ACE, AFAA, NASM, and the ACSM.

Mike Shea has been an active provider of mental health services in Washington County, Maryland since 1986. Dr. Shea holds a master’s in social work degree from West Virginia University (1983) and an Educational Doctorate degree in Counseling/Psychology from the University of Sarasota (2000). While working for Washington County Hospital Association/Meritus Health (1987-2012) and Brook Lane (2012-2022), Dr. Shea served as an adjunct professor for HCC, HACC, Salisbury University’s MSW program, and Shippensburg University’s MSW program and psychology program. Dr. Shea has served as a field instructor for graduate students in social work, counseling, occupational therapy, psychology, and mental health nurse practitioner programs.

While building programs and staff, Mike has pursued opportunities to develop his own clinical skills. Over the years, Dr. Shea has had extensive training in Anxiety, Anger Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Depression, Families of Divorce, Grief, Internal Family Systems, and Trauma. He has enjoyed working with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He has provided training opportunities in various topics and provides consultation to businesses, churches, and schools. Dr. Shea has a relational style of counseling that combines elements of various theoretical models, his years of experience and a keen sense of listening for themes and patterns, to help individuals better understand themselves and their situation. His ability to make a complex issue more manageable has enabled several to take greater responsibility for their lives.

The Western Maryland Counseling Center has been in business since March 2013. WMCC provides assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with mental health and chemical dependency issues using a community-based model, delivering services in the client's home, school, workplace or in the comfort of our community clinic.

Our vision includes the provision of culturally competent, holistic, and wellness focused services that promote social and emotional development, prevent the development of mental health challenges, and address social-emotional problems that currently exist. We offer individual, family, couples and group counseling as well as medication management. In-person and telehealth.
